It consists of three main components: a neck or spout and two body pieces with knobs that control the flow of hot and cold water separately. The hot and cold water supplies are connected to each of the body pieces, unlike in the 2-hole mixer, where the hot and cold water supplies are connected to a single body. Subsequently, the hot and cold water from each body piece mixes in a Tee that directs the mixed water to the spout. Consequently, this design ensures a smooth and efficient flow of water.

First, make sure that the holes in the 3-Hole Basins are greater or equal to the following sizes:
Spout: 1/2 BSP or 21mm
Body Pieces: 32mm
For marble countertops, diamond cutters of 25mm and 35mm can be used to drill holes in the marble or stone to fit the spout and the body pieces.
Afterward, tighten the nuts and connect the flexible hoses to the spout and the body pieces.
Q. Can I use it in the kitchen?
Yes, you can use it in the kitchen as well. In fact, it offers the same advantages as in the bathroom.
Q. What should I do if I notice a leak in 3-Hole Mixers?
It is best practice to turn off the water supply to the leaked fittings. Water dripping can damage the tiles and marble in bathrooms and kitchens. Afterward, locate the leak. It can be in any one of the three areas:
- From the connection between the body pieces and the pipe connections
- From the connection between the Tee and the body pieces
- From the connection between the Tee and the spout
- From the brass cartridges
- From the outlet
Here is what you can do to resolve the issues:
First Case: check the O-ring seals of the pipe connections and tighten them to the body pieces
Second Case: check the rubber washers of the pipe connections and tighten both nuts from both sides
Third Case: check the rubber washer between the Tee and the spout and tighten the nut
Fourth Case: remove the knobs and tighten the cartridge to see if the leak stops. If not, then replace the brass cartridge
Fifth Case: tighten the knobs on both the body pieces. If the leak doesn’t stop, then replace the cartridge
