2-Hole Mixer FAQs

Q. What Are 2-Hole Mixers?

2-Hole mixers comprise two separate components: one spout and one flow-regulating body. Unlike traditional single-unit faucets, the handle and spout are installed separately, usually with the spout mounted in the center and the handle positioned to one side. Moreover, this design provides a more flexible and refined option for bathroom fixtures.

Q. How does SaniTecH 2-Hole Mixer - Apex work?

It consists of two main components: a neck or a spout and a body with a lever handle that mixes the hot and cold water. Both the hot and cold water supplies are connected to the body, unlike in the 3-hole mixer, where the hot and cold water supplies are connected to separate components. The mixed water exits the main body towards the spout through a flexible hose (pipe connection). Consequently, this design ensures a smooth and efficient flow of water.

Q. What is the benefit of a 2-Hole Mixer?

  • Flexible design and installation: 2-hole mixers offer flexibility in both design and installation. The separate components allow for adjustable placement, making it easier to fit the faucet into various sink or countertop configurations.
  • Enhanced Control: With a single handle controlling both hot and cold water, 2-hole mixers offer precise temperature control and a streamlined user experience.
  • Stylish Appearance: The separate design of the 2-hole mixer creates a clean, modern look that can enhance the aesthetic of your bathroom.

Q. How to install SaniTecH 2-Hole Mixer?

First, make sure that the holes in the 2-Hole Basins are greater or equal to the following sizes:

Spout: 1/2 BSP or 21mm

Main body: 38mm

For marble countertops, diamond cutters of 25mm and 38mm can be used to drill holes in the marble or stone to fit the spout and the main body.

Afterward, tighten the nuts and connect the flexible hoses to the spout and the main body.

Q. Can I use it in the kitchen?

Yes, you can use it in the kitchen as well. In fact, it offers the same advantages as in the bathroom.

Q. What should I do if I notice a leak in 2-Hole Mixers?

It is best practice to turn off the water supply to the leaked fittings. Water dripping can damage the tiles and marble in bathrooms and kitchens. Afterward, locate the leak. It can be in any one of the three areas:

  • From the connection between the body and the pipe connections
  • From the connection between the spout and the body
  • From the ceramic cartridge
  • From the outlet

Here is what you can do to resolve the issues:

First Case: check the O-ring seals of the pipe connections and tighten them to the body

Second Case: check the O-ring seals of the pipe connections and tighten the nut of the spout

Third Case: remove the lever handle and tighten the check-nut to see if the leak stops. If not, then replace the ceramic cartridge.

Fourth Case: lower the lever handle which closes the ceramic cartridge. If the leak doesn’t stop, then replace the cartridge.
