T-Arm FAQs
Q. What is a T-Arm?
It is a plumbing component that performs the function of diverting water from the wall mixers to the showerheads.
Q. What materials are T-Arms made from?
T-Arms are commonly constructed from brass or stainless steel, both of which are durable and built to last. In particular, SaniTecH chooses brass because it doesn’t rust like steel does, providing a significant advantage. Although silver T-Arms are also available, but they generally have a shorter life span.
Q. Why should I use a T-Arm?
It enhances the flexibility and adjustability of the showerhead, thus allowing for a more personalized shower experience.
Q. How do I install a T-Arm?
Installing a T-Arm is a simple process. First, secure it to a wall and make sure that it is aligned with the shower rod connecting it with the wall mixer. Then, attach a showerhead to it and enjoy the pleasure of taking a bath.
Q. Sometimes t-arms don't not align with the shower rods. Why?
Lever wall mixers use lever legs to link shower rods to the T-arms, while knob wall mixers connect shower rods directly to the T-arms. This variation affects the connection point between the T-arms and the wall mixers.
To address alignment issues and potential leaks caused by uneven pressure on the taper rings, separate T-arms are designed for lever and knob bathroom sets. SaniTecH addresses this problem by providing separate T-arms for each mixer type.
Q. What is the difference between wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted T-Arms?
A wall-mounted T-Arm attaches to the wall, whereas a ceiling-mounted one is fixed to the ceiling, offering different aesthetic and functional benefits
Q. Is a T-Arm compatible with all showerheads?
Most T-Arms are designed to be universally compatible with standard showerheads. However, it’s important to check the size and threading of shower heads before using them with the t-arms. SaniTecH uses standard 1/2 BSP threads.
Q. What should I do if I notice a leak in the t-arm?
Should the piece leak anywhere on its body, replacing it is the best option. However, if the leak is coming from the taper nuts, you can resolve it by either replacing the taper rings or tightening the taper nut.
Q. Are T-Arms available in different designs?
Yes, T-Arms come in a range of designs, including straight and curved, to match different shower configurations and personal tastes. They are available as complete units, like the SaniTecH model with a pipe, or as individual components, such as the SaniTecH option with a bush, where you can adjust the rod length to suit your requirements.
