Kitchen Sink Mixers FAQs
Q. What is a kitchen sink mixer?
A kitchen mixer is a type of faucet designed for kitchen sinks, allowing you to mix hot and cold water through a single spout for washing dishes, food, and hands. Kitchen sink mixers come in various styles, each offering unique features to suit different kitchen designs and user needs.
Q. What types of kitchen sink mixers does SaniTecH offer?
SaniTecH offers two types of Kitchen Sink Mixers:
- Wall Mounted: these sink mixers are attached to a wall with a sink beneath them. The mixers are connected to the piping system in the wall using wall legs (goda). These include Zeal and Curvy
- Deck Mounted: these sink mixers are attached to the marble tops or the bowl sinks. The mixers are connected to the piping system through Tee Cocks, using flexible hoses (pipe connections). These include Twin and Solo
Q. Are the necks or bends fixed in SaniTecH kitchen sink mixers?
No. SaniTecH designs all its kitchen sink mixers with 360-degree swivel spouts, including necks or bends. Consequently, you can easily rotate the spout of the mixer 360 degrees. As a result, this feature enhances user experience and functionality when operating these mixers.
Q. Can I replace a wall-mounted sink mixer with a deck-mounted sink mixer?
No. The piping system of a wall-mounted sink mixer does not accommodate a deck-mounted sink mixer. This is because when you install Tee Cocks, the flexible hoses (pipe connections) become visible. As a result, these flexible hoses will hinder the proper functioning of the sink mixer. Moreover, they will negatively affect the appearance of the kitchen.
Q. Can I replace a deck-mounted sink mixer with a wall-mounted sink mixer?
No. The piping system of a deck-mounted sink mixer does not accommodate a wall-mounted sink mixer. This is because the piping system is located below the sink. As a result, installing a wall-mounted sink mixer would be impractical.
Q. What is the difference between a lever sink mixer and a knob sink mixer.
Practically, both types of kitchen sink mixers serve the same function of mixing hot and cold water and directing it to the spout. However, they differ in their operation. Lever sink mixers use a 35mm ceramic cartridge to mix the water, which is controlled by a brass lever handle. In contrast, knob sink mixers utilize two separate brass cartridges to control the water flow, with each cartridge operated by a knob or handle.
Q. What is the difference between a kitchen sink mixer and a wall mixer?
Practically, both mix hot and cold water using either a ceramic cartridge or brass cartridges. The difference lies in the number of outlets: a kitchen sink mixer has one outlet, whereas a wall mixer has two outlets.
