Spouts FAQs

Q. What are spouts?

Spouts are components of a faucet or fixture that direct the flow of water from the plumbing into the sink, bathtub, or basin. They do not control the mixing of water.

Q. What material is used for its manufacturing?

Brass is used for manufacturing spouts. Brass is corrosion-resistant and durable. Therefore, it is an ideal choice. SaniTecH uses brass filters with high-quality plastic aerators for smooth flow.

Q. What is the difference between a short and long spout?

Short spouts are ideal for smaller sinks, while long ones provide extended reach for larger sinks or basins.

Q. What should I do if my spout leaks?

Identify the source of the leak:

  • If your mixer is turned off and the spout is leaking, then replace your mixer
  • If the mixer is turned on and the leak comes from the connection between the product and the piping, replace the seals.
  • If the leak is at the aerator, replace the rings and tighten them.

Q. Can I replace a spout myself?

Yes, you can replace a spout yourself. First, turn off the water supply before taking out the old one. These spouts use 1/2 BSP threads. Apply Teflon tape to the threads of the new spout before installing it. Afterward, check for any leaks.

Q. How do I clean a spout?

Clean it regularly with a mild detergent and a soft cloth to prevent mineral build-up and maintain its appearance

Q. Can I use SaniTecH Sanitary Fittings spouts with concealed mixers?

Absolutely. Every spout we offer has 1/2 BSP threads. They are compatible with any mixer, not just SaniTecH concealed wall mixers. Replacing an old spout with a new one is a simple do-it-yourself job
